As for Nuno´s comment on the best defender in Portugal being David Luiz...he might be second best behind Polga. Not sure if you guys have watched him play last year, and these first 5 games of the season, but he should be on the Brasilian team easily!!! The reason he is not? He is not a Nike boy. And if you are not a Nike boy, you do not play for NikeBrazil. Name me one player who is not Nike on the Brasil squad? How is it possible that Luisão is on the team and not Polga? joke... As for Rui Costa, he was a great player, can still make a few moves for about 60 minutes, but then he is finished. I give him until Christmas before he has a another injury, or starts to play 30 minutes as a sub. Unfortunate, but true. My prediction is that in a few more games, Vukcevic will start, and make a big difference on the left wing together with Pedro Silva who will take Ronnys place even though he is a right defender. I think SCP will go on a massive win run shortly, and after gypsy boy is sold at Christmas, SCP will take the championship... Lets see! Greg, all I hope is that you have jinxed Porto now!! There's plenty to happen, as last year showed clearly... I'm curious to see whether Derlei will make it in SCP, who is not feeling the absence of Nani as much as I thought. All in all, for a club without money and struggling desperatelly - and doing a fine job - to get back on track, with a team made up of kids apart from Liedson and Polga and 2 or 3 other more, they're doing brilliantly, when directly compared with the direct rivals. As for FCP, although the squad is quite good, the dependancy on Quaresma is humoungous and Jesualdo Ferreira will always be a chicken...Ask Nuno... He coached Benfica as well... If FCP played attacking against Sporting at Dragao, day 2, was because of the massive media criticism (2 wingers, 1 striker + 3 holding mids like in the Supercup, isn't really attacking, is it...?) + the fact they didn't beat SCP, a team made up of kids, there in the Dragon's lair where the law is always on their side and the cards never seem to come up, for the past 2 years... Their squad isn't as good as all that. The leadership neither. But they are very strong. That's true. Benfica, even without Simao and Manuel Fernandes, will be gradually more dangerous, now with Camacho and with Rui Costa (Rui Costa will always be Rui Costa...), keeping the engine running, no matter the weather...
