What I find really odd about the indifference from teams like Porto and Sporting is that Sporting was one of the teams who made this cup happen. Why would they care? To help football in Portugal? Or in case they ever slipped out of the top three in the Liga?

I love it too, dammit. Though, you know, as a way for smaller clubs to get their shit together and take a step up, not as something for which Porto should be settling.

I didn’t mean to hate too much. The first round though? Come on. That can’t be viewed as a big accomplishment by the likes Porto and Sporting. In all fairness, I defended it (UEFA Cup) in another thread!
