All Your Points Are Belong to Porto
By: Greg | September 24th, 2007
Another week, another Porto win. They’ve taken 15 of a possible 15 points thus far this season. Games 1-5 are just as valuable, points-wise, as games 26-30. So to say that it’s still early is not only true it’s also a relatively ineffective tonic given how easily Porto have dispatched the majority of their opponents thus far this season. Here’s the rest of the weekend’s results with a full recap and Carlsberg Cup update coming tomorrow. Sorry I had to sneak this in so late today, I was out working on increasing my sales numbers for the quarter (which, in turn, means increasing the money in MY account for the quarter)…
Naval 1 – 4 V.Guimarães
Leixões 1 – 1 Nacional
Braga 0 – 0 Benfica
Maritimo 2 – 0 Belenenses
Paços de Ferreira 0 – 2 Porto
U.d.Leiria 0 – 0 E.d.Amadora
Sporting 2 – 2 V.Setúbal
Boavista v. Académica
News is out today that Scolari will stay as head of the Portuguese National Team. Let the Mourinho to Inter rumors fly! Kisses ALL AROUND!!

God, but I do love a good “all your base are” headline. Nice.

another great picture and line!
Makukula has been having quite the season. i’m surprised there hasn’t been any press inquiring whether he wants a NT cap? I know he officially chose Congo when he was 23 since he was only capped U21 and not at senior level, but was prevented by rules and so he remains a Portuguese national. If his attititude is right, I say give him a shot.

Martha – It’s all about the base.
OGT – Apparently the spam killer doesn’t like the US, only Canada. I approved it so hopefully your karma will go up. Whatever the hell “spam karma” is. Makukula is a beast. I agree with giving him a run out, can’t hurt. Who the hell else wants to score for that team at this point anyways?
