Jornada 27 Pre-Recap: Sporting Hammered, Porto Rampant
By: Greg | April 21st, 2008
The weekend’s action saw Porto absolutely dominate Benfica with two goals from Lisandro Lopez, putting him on twenty four goals for the season thus making him the top scorer in the league this millennium.
His first goal yielded a sweet ass celebration whereby he took his shirt off, put it on the corner post and took it from the ground to make a flag. I enjoyed it.
I did not, however, enjoy the 4-1 Sporting loss where they got thoroughly WORKED by last place Leiria. Sporting now sit a full three points behind V.Guimarães for the second guaranteed Champions League spot with three matches to go.
After Belenenses and Setubal play what should be a decent contest tonite, you’ll have the full rundown tomorrow. More on the current, roller coaster Boavista situation then as well. See you here same bat time, same bat channel.
Académica 0 - 0 V.Guimarães
Marítimo 4 - 1 Braga
Leixões 0 - 0 E.d.Amadora
P. Ferreira 2 - 2 Naval
Boavista 1 - 0 Nacional
Leiria 4 - 1 Sporting
Porto 2 - 0 Benfica
Belenenses v. V.Setúbal

My wife and sister-in-law were drooling over Lisandro yesterday to the point that it made me fucking nuts. More so my sister-in-law actually. However, the celebration with the flag waving shirt was hilarious, spirited, and just plain baller. Agree on all accounts on Lisandro. The other team you asked about, I have no idea what you’re talking about ::pierces ear drums with fingers:: lalalalalalalallalalalalala!!!
