Oscar Cardozo Suspended Three Matches for Being Stupid

Benfica’s Oscar Cardozo has been suspended by UEFA for three matches following an incident in the 2-1 loss to Getafe on March 6th (see this magical work of art below). He’s stupid for a few reasons…
Firstly, he committed the foul in the ninth minute of the match. If UEFA hadn’t suspended him, Benfica should have for putting his team at such a disadvantage so early in the contest. Secondly, he committed the foul in such an obvious position. On corner kicks, set pieces, and other plays that commence from a stoppage where there is piling up I’ve seen guys practically rape each other in the box. He runs by and throws what would be considered a relatively innocuous elbow at the Getafe player if it weren’t for the fact that he committed the infraction in that nature that he did. He might as well have been wearing a chicken costume and playing a tuba in the middle of the pitch. Thirdly, it’s a foul that gained him no tactical advantage. When people pull on each other and trip and commit fouls it is almost always to gain a tactical advantage. He just ran by this guy and laid him out with his arm. While the rolling around on the pitch by the Getafe player that takes place after is so lame even Cristiano Ronaldo would blush, it gave Cardozo no obvious advantage to have the guy on the ground.
If I were someone of importance at Benfica, I’d dock his ass pay just for the potential money he cost the team by forcing them to play at a disadvantage and preventing them from progressing in the UEFA Consolation Cup.
See you here bright and early tomorrow for a preview of the Sporting v Rangers UEFA Cup match. Or maybe not. Maybe you have something better to do, like laundry or making a brine for that pork shoulder you’ve been meaning to roast. Either way, I won’t be hurt if you don’t show. I understand just how a proper brine really enhances a meat like pork.

Cordrozo really is a moron and a liability…in the game days earlier to this one he pulled the exact same thing against Sporting in the classico. He somehow escaped a red card in that one, but you’d think soemone woulda smacked him around a bit in the locker room so that he would know better than to repeat this, especially on the european stage. Whatta clown, really he runs around with this look on his face like his poo isn’t stinky… he shoulda been sat, but then who else would score goals for the lightbulbs?

Benfica have definatelly seen better days… What a poor way for Rui Costa to end his career… Third coach in this season, a totally unbalanced squad, kicked out of UEFA by superpowers Getafe..
.I wonder who they´ll bring next year - I think Rui Costa will take some sort of sports director role and I think he said his preferance goes to some italian, whose name I forgot. There were also rumours of Carlos Queiroz leaving MU to coach SLB. Anyway, I somehow don´t see this happening. And I also don´t believe he´d be the right man for the job.
